For my twenty-fifth Evangelion book review, here is Mode EVANGELION: EVANGELION girls project by mobacolle, published by Gakken Marketing.  This is a mook (magazine-book hybrid) aimed at female Eva fans, with a focus on fashion and cute things.  Fans of actress/singer Shoko Nakagawa – also known as Shokotan – will be pleased to know that she has a role in this!  Her mmts clothing line has some Evangelion stuff available through the online shop Mobacolle, and a number of the items are featured in this mook.

This publication is not available in English or French (although there are a few little bits of English text here and there), but there are plenty of pictures, all in full color.  There are also some extra special goodies… more on that later.  Oh, and in addition to clothes from mmts, this mook features fashion items from other brands as well, such as these:

Starting clockwise from the upper left, the items are: a stole featuring a print of the Sephirotic System plus the red ocean, a bag and pouch with a colorful Sachiel face pattern, underwear with Kaworu’s face on it (tee hee!), and underwear with a pattern of Ramiel changing shape.  Keep reading for the rest of the book review, plus a few more pictures!
